We do have a few things worth mentioning, such as the announcement that EA will be taking over the publishing of all future Star Wars games. There’s also three new trailers for GTA V that you must see.

This week on The Fraxial Show, we talk about the much anticipated Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm expansion that was released today. Also, Mike talks a little bit about his time playing the new SimCity game and covers some of the stuff he mentioned in his Quick Look video. Keep an eye out for the full review sometime this week.

There is also a new Tomb Raider gameplay video that was released and it’s a somewhat unclear indication of what the game will be like. Stay tuned for reviews on that.

Quantum Conundrum – Quick Look + Review

Quantum Conundrum is a neat puzzle game that puts you in control of four physics altering dimensions. At first glance you may assume this game is heavily influenced by Valve’s Portal franchise, however this does make sense when you consider both titles share the same lead designer. While both games have their similarities, there are many more more differences which make Quantum Conundrum a unique experience.

The Fraxial Show: Episode 33

XCOM is a damn good game. We had to do it justice and play a quick multiplayer match while giving you the weekly gaming news. As usual at this time of year, there are very few game releases worth talking about.

The highlights in terms of news was the trailer for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game from CD Projekt Red.

Now beyond the trailer above, there was a neat hidden message embedded at the end of the video providing more details on their upcoming plans.  Reddit user mcpower_ was kind enough to transcribe the entire message which can be seen in the link below.

To wrap things up, I also suggest taking a look at this short ‘making of’ article that details how they designed and recorded everything in the trailer.

We should be releasing a first impressions video on Resident Evil 5, while it is a game behind the series we did have quite a bit of fun trying it out. As always, if you have any comments or suggestions please let us know !

Machinarium – Review

Machinarium is a game that flawlessly combines its point-and-click adventure gameplay with some cleaver puzzles found on every screen of the game. Despite being a bit short and a few years old, I still thoroughly enjoyed every hour of the game and highly recommend it to everyone else.

If you wish to give the game a try, there is a live flash demo available on their website here : http://machinarium.net/demo/
