The original X-COM: UFO Defense is often regarded among the top strategy and PC games of all time and so after a decade of inactivity we finally get a reboot to the series. XCOM: Enemy Unknown follows the spirit from the original game but it also applies over a decade of advancements in gaming by streamlining the overall experience. Be sure to check out the written review as I also took the perspective of a massive fan from the original game and I’ll say that there are a few surprises to be seen below.
Short and sweet video this week! There are almost no important game releases to talk about and gaming news has been pretty quiet this week. We do have a few things worth mentioning, such as the announcement that EA will be taking over the publishing of all future Star Wars games. There’s also three new trailers for GTA V that you must see.

As for games played, we’ve both been playing Spec Ops: The Line, since it was just added to the Instant Collection for PS+ members. Quantum Conundrum is a neat puzzle game that puts you in control of four physics altering dimensions. At first glance you may assume this game is heavily influenced by Valve’s Portal franchise, however this does make sense when you consider both titles share the same lead designer. While both games have their similarities, there are many more more differences which make Quantum Conundrum a unique experience.
We have a very special game to show this week! Ever felt like the only thing missing from Just Cause 2 was multiplayer? Well check out this fan-made multiplayer mod that really rocks!

XCOM is a damn good game. We had to do it justice and play a quick multiplayer match while giving you the weekly gaming news. As usual at this time of year, there are very few game releases worth talking about.
The highlights in terms of news was the trailer for the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 game from CD Projekt Red.
Now beyond the trailer above, there was a neat hidden message embedded at the end of the video providing more details on their upcoming plans. Reddit user mcpower_ was kind enough to transcribe the entire message which can be seen in the link below.
To wrap things up, I also suggest taking a look at this short ‘making of’ article that details how they designed and recorded everything in the trailer.
We should be releasing a first impressions video on Resident Evil 5, while it is a game behind the series we did have quite a bit of fun trying it out. As always, if you have any comments or suggestions please let us know !

Machinarium is a game that flawlessly combines its point-and-click adventure gameplay with some cleaver puzzles found on every screen of the game. Despite being a bit short and a few years old, I still thoroughly enjoyed every hour of the game and highly recommend it to everyone else.
If you wish to give the game a try, there is a live flash demo available on their website here : http://machinarium.net/demo/
This week we combine our Fraxial Show video to include a quick look of Terraria, seeing as it’s part of the Steam Holiday Sale. There isn’t much news or any relevant game releases to cover this week so we focus more on the gameplay and talk about the Steam Sale itself.
