After several days of connectivity issues of varying degree, we finally get a chance to take a quick look of the new SimCity game without any disconnects. Unfortunately we where not able to run through several online features as they have been disables to help reduce the server load. Despite these issues, the game has been fairly enjoyable and features some great mechanics and simulation.
Quantum Conundrum is a neat puzzle game that puts you in control of four physics altering dimensions. At first glance you may assume this game is heavily influenced by Valve’s Portal franchise, however this does make sense when you consider both titles share the same lead designer. While both games have their similarities, there are many more more differences which make Quantum Conundrum a unique experience.
Following our Fraxial Show, we had recorded a Quick Look on Chivalry : Medival Warfare. Unfortunately due to technical issues, Nick had to record a new episode on his own as Mike could not join in again.
Chivalry is a neat first-person medival combat game that is powered by the Unreal 3 engine. While there are a few rough edges, the game does look good and plays fairly well. While we didn’t agree on the 30$ price during our original show, the Steam sale price of 12.50$ was more than reasonable.
Below is a list of all the mods I have installed and links to them. Here goes: Continue reading Grand Theft Auto IV Awesome Mods
Since we weren’t able to contain ourselves over the long-awaited and extremely hyped release of Diablo III, we had to post a new video featuring the game a little early. Thus, we dubbed this episode number 1.5. Incidentally, we’ll be posting new episodes of The Fraxial Show every Wednesday from now on, as it’s most convenient for both of us. Look forward to next week’s video, which will feature even more Diablo 3 fun and some more lively discussion!
To celebrate the release of Diablo III, it was necessary to post a video showing off some of the game’s mechanics as well as the new skill system which I find really neat. This video goes over the first few minutes of the game, while I play as a Wizard class. Yer a Wizard, Harry.
Good news everyone! We’ve decided to start a new weekly series called The Fraxial Show. Each week, we’ll post a new video of us playing any game we choose while talking about news in gaming, what we’ve been playing recently as well as just general discussion. It will be in the format of a podcast and we invite you to offer suggestions for content you’d like to hear about or which game you’d like to see us play for the following week.
The third mission of Battlefield 3 co-op is somewhat of a stealth-based objective which involves rescuing a hostage and then escorting him through a series of firefights to an evac helicopter. Watch the video to see how it’s done.
We’re now on the second mission in BF3 co-op. This time, the army gives us a very expensive helicopter to play around in. Watch the video above and see how we rain death upon our foes and save the day once more.
Even though the game has been out for a while, we both decided it was time to post a video featuring the co-op element of Battlefield 3. Surprisingly enough, the co-op missions are quite fun and offer a serious challenge – very different from the multiplayer. This video features Operation Exodus, the first co-op mission in the game. Your mission is to go out and kill a bunch of enemies while your armored jeeps sit back and watch. Sounds easy? Click and watch to see just how frenzied the action gets.
