    • Mike
      • Grand Theft Auto V – It does not deserve it as shown by the lack of mentions throughout our list. While the game was good overall, it was a perfect example of many things we disliked about recent game releases including;
        • Incomplete features and missing functionality on launch. GTA Online, mission creator and mobile application where released several weeks/months after launch
        • DLC and micro-transactions. We appreciate free downloadable content, there are still micro-transaction options to purchase in-game money. If they are not needed, why keep selling them?
        • Poor launch day for multiplayer. It was the biggest game of the year, yet proper precautions where not taken leading to a rough multiplayer launch.
        • Lack of innovation and changes. For such a massive budget, the game did not change much from the predecessor. The story was as cold and forgettable as ever too.
        • Excessively hyped yet nobody talks about it as being memorable.
        • Overrated by critics overall. For having the highest scoring game this year, with many outlets giving perfect scores, it has not been topping many ‘top games of 2013’ lists. In fact many lists have a few lower scored games ahead of GTA V in their top games of 2013.
      • Demon’s souls – It challenged the boring trend of average games for mass appeal. It is difficult yet satisfying, created on a tiny budget yet beat some AAA titles and it innovates without shoving it’s uniqueness in your face every second possible.
    • Nick
      • The Witcher 2 -Not only is it a great game, but for what CD Projekt Red has done to shake up the video game industry regarding DRM and MULTIPLE massive content updates.

1 – Only played 3 hours of Dark Souls, it cannot score higher due to this.
2 – Both games take the top as they are quite similar but for different reasons.
3 – Only managed a few hours of Forza 4, I believe it could very well belong here.
4 – I purchased the game purely from watching a trailer, I have not played it yet however.
